A little care for every glow
Enjoy your handmade, hand-poured candle with care. Please read the safety label supplied with your candle before lighting it. Always follow its product-specific instructions, including wick trimming, maximum burn time, and when to stop using the candle.
Before lighting
- Remove all packaging and any decorative materials not intended to be burned.
- Place your candle upright on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, curtains, and anything that could catch fire.
- Keep the wax free of matches, wick trimmings, and other debris.
- Check the candle and its container before use. Do not burn a candle in a cracked or damaged container.
- Prepare and trim the wick according to the instructions supplied with your candle.
While your candle is burning
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish it before leaving the room or going to sleep.
- Keep burning candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Keep candles apart so they do not heat one another, following the spacing instructions on their labels.
- Never touch or move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is liquid. Containers can become hot.
- Do not exceed the maximum burn time stated on the safety label.
- If the flame becomes unusually high, flickers persistently, or produces excessive smoke, extinguish the candle and allow it to cool before checking the wick and surroundings.
After each use
- Use a suitable candle snuffer to extinguish the flame. Never use water.
- Make sure the flame is completely extinguished.
- Allow the wax and container to cool fully before touching, moving, or relighting the candle.
- Stop using your candle at the point specified on its safety label. Do not burn it down to the bottom of the container.
